HORROR IN MEGIDA: Lady Gruesomely Stabbed to Death by Ritualist at Clemson Hotel—Olu of Megida, Chairman- Elect Hon.Lukman Abiodun Agbaje Swiftly Visits Scene

A wave of shock and horror swept through the Megida Community in Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA on Thursday note as news broke of a gruesome murder at a popular hospitality facility, Clemson Hotel, involving a young lady reportedly stabbed to death by suspected ritualist who had checked into the premises earlier that day.

According to eyewitness account and preliminary police investigations, the lady whose identity is yet to be officially disclosed was found lifeless in one of the hotel rooms with multiple stab wounds, her body brutally mutilated in what authorities suspect to be an attempted ritual killing.

The horrific scene sparked immediate concern and outrage within the community, prompting swift action from both security agencies and local leadership.

In a rapid response to the heinous act, Chairman-Elect  of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Hon.Lukman Abiodun Agbaje, (Ijoba Irorun) paid a prompt visit to the crime scene early Friday morning, accompanied by security aides and community representatives.The  Chairman-Elect, visibly disturbed by the gory sight, condemned the act in strong terms and promised immediate collaboration with law enforcement to ensure justice is served.

This is an unacceptable tragedy in our community.The safety of our people is a top priority under my administration. I have already initiated conversations with the DPO and relevant agencies to ensure thorough investigation and immediate prosecution of the culprit,” Hon.Agbaje stated during his address to the press at the scene.

Community members gathered in droves outside the hotel, demanding answers and calling for greater security oversight in hospitality establishments within the LCDA, especially those operating in the Megida-Axis.

Local police from Ayobo Division have since cordoned off the premises of Clemson Hotel as the manager of the hotel was said to have caught one of the prime suspect’s, who was apprehended while attempting to flee the area with his gang.

According to reports, the man in the company of the victim and two others (at large) had checked into the hotel, later lured the deceased lady via his room before carrying out the heinous act.

The Oba-Elect And Olu of Megida Ajerogun Kingdom, who was also briefed on the incident, has urged residents to remain calm while encouraging spiritual vigilance and moral education in the community, especially among the youth.

As investigations continue, many are calling for stricter regulation and monitoring of hotels and short-stay lodges operating in the area to prevent future occurrences.

This tragic event serves as a grim reminder of the riding spate of ritual-related violence in parts of Lagos and underscores the urgent need for collective vigilance, government intervention, and societal reform that the Olu of Megida Ajerogun Kingdom and Chairman Elect Hon.Abiodun Lukman Agbaje of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA  in a synergized efforts will bring on board as a perfect example on how traditional institutions and political administration can effect impactful governance while placing optimum priority on lives and property at the grassroots level.
