As the countdown to the July 12 Local Government elections hovers around the political landscape of Alimosho Federal Constituency, presumably its suffice to say that there is an intensified wave of political mobilization across its six constituent local councils.
The All Progressives Congress (APC), the leading and dominant political force in the area, is rallying support for it’s chairmanship candidates in what is expected to be a decisive electoral.showdown.
From strategic town hall meetings, to door-to -door sensitization, youth mobilization drives, and grassroots engagements, party faithful and community leaders are ensuring that the APC machinery operates in full swing towards an all round victory in the largest local government area in Nigeria.
The six chairmanship candidates under the APC banner include:

Speaking at a stakeholders meeting over the weekend, Hon.Akinola Idowu Bashiru (Akin-Bash) , a senior party leader in Alimosho , emphasized the importance of unity and continued loyalty to the progressive ideals of the party. ” This election is not just about individuals; it is about consolidating good governance and building on the legacies of the APC in Alimosho, We are ready , and we trust our people will come out end masse to vote our candidates to victory,” he stated.
The political atmosphere in Alimosho has become increasingly vibrant , with all six candidates embarking on community- focused campaigns, pledging improved local governance , youth empowerment, better infrastructure development, and continuity on people- oriented policies.
Observers believe the APC’s strong grassroots presence and incumbency advantage position the party favourably ahead of the polls. However, the party is not taking chances, as each candidate has deployed campaign teams to ensure every ward and polling unit is adequately covered.
