It was a befitting moment to relish for parents and their wards residing at Itire Community in Lagos, When They were hosted by Arobayo Royal Ladies Club, An NGO (Non Governmental Organization) group of spirited and ambitious ladies led by Princess Kuburat Fatai took it upon themselves to celebrate children living within the neighborhood thereby throwing a lavish end of the year party fiesta which was graced by distinguished notable personalities,well wishers with the King of Itire Kingdom(Oba Tajudeen Ishola Odubiyi) Who was the Royal Father of the Day for the memorable event.
The event which kicked off at eleven o’clock designated time,received a record attendance from children living in the community as they trooped en-masse in their large numbers to the Itire Primary School host venue in quote.
Highlights from the occasion included games,dancing competition and presentation of school bags which was coordinated by officials of Arobayo Royal Ladies Club as they handled the onerous task of controlling the intense traffic of children who swarmed around the venue, while the gifting spree was on course.
An encounter with A Member And Secretary Of The Club at the event, Mrs Oyindamola Bolashodun was on ground to speak with our correspondent, She remarked ‘today’s program,The End of the year Children’s Party Fiesta is the second of its kind in Itire because we initially did the first one last year as a group of willing ladies that came together and felt that we must contribute our quota to enhance the living conditions of the less privileged and vulnerable families,as you can see for yourselves, Today’s program in particular is one of the ways we can make a difference, having realised that many of these kids don’t have the kind of opportunity to enjoy Christmas unlike their peers who come from affluent backgrounds, so we decided to throw a party in other to give them a sense of belong hence touch lives with such rare gesture,in a bid to make every one of them to be happy’.
Catching up with the President of Arobayo Royal Ladies Club, Princess Mrs Kuburat Fatai,Who in her elated mood beamed with so much joy on the successful hosting of the program disclosed ‘As the president of Arobayo Royal ladies Club I want to appreciate everyone who took time out to grace today’s event and celebrate the children with us, I am more than indebted for the love shown so far, To Our Numerous Sponsors Who Also Took Part In Collaborating With Us And More Importantly Supporting The Program With Products And Gifts,Once Again I Remain Grateful As Words cannot Express the Happiness With Unquantified Joy From the Depths of My Heart,To The Kabiyesi ‘Oba tajudeen Odubiyi, May your reign continue to bring prosperity and peace to Itire Kingdom as you have always remain a solid pillar for the Club since day go, by extension I also want to appreciate our Matron, Who has been A source of inspiration to us going by the motherly role she has been actively playing in the efforts to tend us on the right path to tread or follow,on behalf of my entire team we remain deeply loyal, And lastly I wish parents,friends,guests and our teeming children who made it to our annual party fiesta a fun-filled yuletide season and a happy new year.Thank you.
