His Excellency, Babagana Unars Zulum the Executive Governor of Borno State personally visited camps where victims of Monday Devastating Flood in Maiduguri were camped.
I’m all the places he visited on Tuesday, Zulum sympathised with victims and assured them of proper care until the water receded and people returned to their houses.
‘I am disturbed by the calamity that befell us on Monday, resulting from the increased volume.We are doing everything possible to provide relief to our people’.
‘We will provide all the necessary relief support to you, and we will ensure you return to your housed as soon as the situation improves for the best,’ Zulum said.
In the last couple of days, many States in the North East Have Experienced Flood disasters this year which have been attributed to the high volume of rainfall.
In a similar vein,reactions have continued to trail in from affected residents of the flood ravaged near by communities who have took to social media to express their plight,on the portending risks that the Alau Dam poses to those living nearby.
‘A journalist working with Borno Radio Television (BRTV) Said ‘Post Office Area and our office BRTV have been submerged’ .

‘We were alerted to pack our belongings at 12:30 AM, But before we can gather our clothes and school credentials, the water was already waist deep in our house, said a resident of Galtimatiri.
Another resident, Bilyamin Yusuf said, ‘We are in a serious situation ,Lagos Street is flooded, we had to flee to Galmatiri Primary School, leaving most of our belongings behind.
Meanwhile Popular investigative journalist, David Hundeyin has unveiled plans of Nigerian government through the African Offices in Nairobi to tilt journalist to presenting a false report about the Maiduguri Folding through a$1000 grant offer.
Hundeyin made this known in a post as he shared on his official X handle on Tuesday.


He disclosed that the Maiduguri Flooding was never an issue of climate change rather a case of neglected maintenance by the Nigerian government of the Alau DAM which has structured damage years back.
He further rained curse on any journalist who will throw caughtion into the Sir and dive into such offer to the detriment of the Maiduguri residents.
