It was an unfortunate scene today along Third Mainland Bridge When A Commuter LT Bus was involved in a ghastly accident where two passengers were allegedly flung into the waiting lagoon beneath the bridge in the process.
A Video making the rounds showed moments the rescue team of Nigeria Marine Police were seen around the accident spot trying to recover the two victims, According To eyewitness account, The Accident involving An LT 18 Seater With Number Plate FKJ 872 YA was said to have occurred around Adeniyi Adele Inward Lagos Island.
The Lagos Territorial Coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency, Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, disclosed in a statement that the Driver of the Vehicle Was Reported To be On High Speed As He Suddenly Lost Control of the Bus And swerved off The Road To Hit The Bridge railings.
He also stated that the impact forcefully pushed the two passengers off the bus into the lagos lagoon. “The Victims,An Adult Male And A Female, Are being Searched by the Marine Police , The Injured have since been moved to a nearby treatment to be administered First Aid Treatment as revealed by a close source”.
