Objectives:
IT is hoped after reading through this editorial review.. the reader would understand, fairly in the following – The Comparative Knowledge Of What Administration, Management And leadership Control Connotes.
Leadership implies Action And Interaction with persons view to attaining a specified objective, sometimes planned in advance, or Invariably at the Spur or Heat of the moment. This pre- supposes critical thinking and awareness of issues of the Moment. It Also implies the understanding of the frame of mind of others in a given situation.
“Consequently, A Leader is A Clarifier in a number of facets which would otherwise confuse the less perceptive of persons. It is succinct to appraise the salient fact that A Veritable Form of Recognizing Leadership Potentials is When One leads By Showing Others A Way Out Of A Problem, Crisis; or Presumably, when one discovers a new way of doing things”.
The one limiting factor to this leadership process is the acceptance by others knowledgeable in the Particular Area that One Actually Offers Solutions To Relevant Problems Or Shows A Way Out Of Crisis Which is superior to any other solutions. In other words” To Lead Is To Inspire Confidence In Other’s When Despair And Pessimism lurks around the corner.
Leadership therefore has three related roles to play. The First is that of encouraging or urging others on while maintaining an attitude of equality with them. In this role, the leader recognizes the contributions of all Participants. This Attitude Disarms the group from rebellion against the promptings of the leader. It creates a sense of achievement amongst the members of the group., Which in turn goads them on to persist in the task under the encourager. The second role which a leader plays is that of acting as a pointer or suggester of a way out. By doing so the leader nudged the group On To Take Decisions Or To Commitment From Which It Might have Shrunk . In playing this role the leader not only disclosed his own leanings or make proposals which other members in the group might have overlooked. He also permits full comparison of his promptings and proposals with other alternatives. This disposition lures the others into believing in the genuineness of the leader’s sincerity of purpose and thus paves way for acceptance of his leadership.
The Third Role Is That Of An Implementer. It is here that the leader excels or fails in the expectations of members of his group.If decisions were taken or policies adopted without actualizing them, that is, without putting the decisions or policies into practical, Operational mood, they are not likely to achieve the desired goal. Here the leader calls his leadership into question. It is to him that the group leaves the task of translating it’s decisions and policies into specific workable acts, followed by the performance of the activities that are necessary for the attainment of the group’s Objectives.
“It must be Observed, however, that a leader need not playAll the three roles himself alone. He may be better in encouraging others than in pointing the way. He may combine the ability of a pointer of the way with that of an Implementer without the ability to encourage others. Other Members in his group may perform the task of implementing better.” Clearly, there is nothing unethical in the same leader performing all the three roles within the limits of his energy or talent.
Yet the Chances are that, to the degree that he is an effective leader, he will discover and encourage other members of his group who are able to perform one or more of them at least as well as he. That trait itself can be surmised on the precepts of “ProActive Leadership enmeshed in the art of delegating responsibity role to the people, in the context of Democratic Ethics, Arguably The Strongest And Most Fertile Of All.”
