A popular pentecostal church went up in Flames just few hours to a purported programme Which was meant to come up at the Venue of the affected church.
According to eye witness account, the HouseHold Of David located at Surulere Industrial Road, Off Adeniyi Jones In Ikeja Local Government Area Of Lagos State Was Razed Down By Fire due to overheating. Speaking further on the incident, the Lagos State Services Spokesperson, Amodu Shakiri traced the root of the inferno to overheating which caused the ceiling to collapse and ignite fire.
The church at initial, was planning A 5-Day Crusade Programme Which was meant to Flag off for the day And to End on the 4th of February, 2024. Reacting To the Unfortunate Incident, The Senior Pastor Of The Church, Olusola Osunmakinde , Described It As A Painful Experience adding that despite the Tragedy, it will not deter the church from proceeding ahead with the Scheduled Activity For the Day.
It will be recalled that emergency and rescue operations was jointly carried out by Responding agencies, Which included the National Emergency Management Agency,Lagos State Building Control Agency, Lagos Emergency Management Agency Lagos State Fire And Rescue Service Alausa, Ikeja Fire Stations With The Police Were All On ground to control the Conflagration From Speaking To Spreading To Adjoining Properties Within The Premises Of The Church In Quote.
