In a time when national transformation requires both moral conviction and strategic action, it is essential for christian youths to rise and engage in politics not as spectators ,buy as purposeful nation builders.
1.Biblical Mandate For Leadership Involvement
The Bible is rich with examples of godly men and women who influenced governance for God’s glory:
.Joseph served as Prime Minister in Egypt ( Genesis 41:38–44),that saved nations.
.Daniel held political office in Babylon and Persia, influencing kings and upholding righteousness (Daniel 6:1-3).
.Esther used her position in the royal palace to deliver her people from destruction (Esther 4:14).
According to Matthew 5:13-16, the Scripture calls believers to be the ”the light of the world” and ”the salt of the earth”, a clear charge to.positively influence every sphere, including politics.
2.Why Christian Youths Must Not Be Passive
Passivity is not neutrality–it means to surrender. When Christians disengage from politics, ungodly system flourish. Proverbs 29:2 states ‘When the righteous are in authority,the people rejoice;but when the wicked beareth rule,the people mourn.”
Our active involvement is not just civic duty;it is spiritual responsibility, As Christian youths,we carry the values, discipline, and integrity Nigeria needs.
