Prof. Mahmood Yakubu ,The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC ) Chairman has arrived Edi State on a readiness assessment visit.
This courtesy call is part of the final preparations for the Edi State Governorship election, scheduled for September 21,2024.The assessment aims to ensure that all necessary measures are in place for a successful election.
They were received by the Resident Electoral Commissioner ( REC) for Edo State, Dr Anugbum Onuaha, Administrative Secretary, Mr Emmanuel Ogbodu, Esq and other Senior Staff From Edo State INEC.
In the chairman’s entourage were the supervising National Commissioner, Prof Rhoda Gumus;National Commissioners ; Major General A.B.Alkali (retd),Mr Sam Olumekun Dr Baba Bika, Chief Technical Adviser To The Hon.Chairman, Prof Bolade Eyinla; Chief Press Secretary To The Hon.Chairman, Mr Rotimi Oyekanmi; Special Adviser to the Hon.Chairman, Prof. M.Kuna Age. Director ICT, Eng. Bayode Lawrence,DR. Ajoku G.N Director (Health &Services) ,Age. Director Operations Hakeem Adigun And other Senior Staff.
