A concerned resident of olubondi, MAJIYAGBE Community In Ipaja, Prophet koami Samuel Has Bemoaned the Spate of Erosion Plaguing his neighborhood recently and has addressed a letter seeking for prompt intervention on the said issue to the appropriate auspice in charge According To The Content Of The Letter Which Reads:

“I write to urgently address the dire erosion crisis affecting our neighborhood, with Specific emphasis on the profound impact it has on my residence and the surrounding Community

The Ongoing Erosion, Compounded by the incomplete drainage project linking to the Main River Has brought up on devastating consequences that demand immediate government intervention

The incessant floods have not only inundated homes but also wrecked havoc on Personal landed Properties, causing irreparable damage and Significant Financial Losses

My residence has borne the brunt of this catastrophe, with valuable possessions destroyed and structural integrity compromised, Moreover the severity of the floods have rendered my home inhabitable for Prolonged Periods Forcing Me To Seek Transparency Shelter Elsewhere, Often For More Than Four Days At A Stretch

Tragically, the erosion crisis has also claimed the lives of neighbors and relatives within our close-knit Community.The loss of loved ones, Coupled with the anguish of displacement and uncertainty has left us reeling in desperate need of assistance

In light of these harrowing experience, I implore the Lagos State Ministry Of Environment To Expedite the Completion of the drainage project connecting to the main River . This vital infrastructure is essential for diverting excess water and mitigating the destructive impact of erosion and flooding on our neighborhood, Immediate action is imperative to prevent further loss of life, safeguard properties and restore a sense of security and normalcy to our community

I beseech the government to prioritize our plight and allocate the necessary resources and manpower to address this pressing issue effectively. The well -being and safety of residents hang in the balance, and swift intervention is paramount to averting further tragedy
