The Epoch Making Event Which had Invited Guests, Parents, Students, Teachers, And Management Staffs Who Came Out In Appreciable numbers to witness Traditional Cultural Displays from About Four Different Tribes picked out to show its own unique culture to the audience in Attendance. Notably Among The Various Cultures Were that of Yoruba, Igbo, Edo And Hausa Tribes Respectively.

Opening The Historic Programme was the Proprietor Who Graced The Occasion Adorning A Richly kneaded Cultural Attire Attributed Mostly To Tribes From The Southern Eastern Region Of The Country, Elder Bob Okechukwu OCHUBA Who Remarked The Importance Of Paying Unbiased Attention To the Preservation Of A fading Cultural Heritage Due To The Overwhelming Influence Of Acculturation Towards Copying Western Ideal And Habits more especially with the growing pace of Globalisation As against our Norms And Ancestral Roots which is slowly fading into Extinction. According to him ” it is important to teach our kids the sacred values of our inherent cultural heritage so that it remains embedded in their subconscious and when they grow up as Adults they will continue to carry on with the bequeathed customary Norms and Obligatory Practices as a Traditional legacy.

Part Of The Rolled Out Cultural Presentations Were Centered On Drama,Oral Traditional Recitations On Poetry, Cultural Dance Engagements From The Four Distinct Tribes In Representation Which as recalled Were Casted From Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa And Edo Tribes, Also to Spice Up The Event Was Special Acrobatic Displays By The Participant Student’s From Friend’sLink College, As Parents And Guardians Were Thrilled And Couldn’t Hide Their Enthusiasm As They Took To their Smart Phones, Recording Scintillating Video Moments Of Different Cultural Tribal Displays Via Presentation Orchestrated By A Combination Of Coordinating Teachers Who Contributed To The Spell Bounding Superlative Performance Of It’s Diverse Students Cultural Troupe in view.

An Elated Parent Who Pleaded Anonymous Praised The School Management For Coming Up With Such An Educative And Interactive Cultural Day Presentation Saying it went as far in Projecting the encapsulation of National Orientation Not Only For Their Wards But By Extension On The Part Of Parents, Citing the Decadent and Polarized Rate At Which Tribal Inferiority Amongst Citizens has left an indelible Mark Of Ethnic Bigotry Amidst A Growing Surge Of Low Esteemed Behavioral Patterns On The Part Of Marginalized Smaller Tribe units.

According to her” We grew up in the 50’s with this tribal sentiments and it really had adverse effects on our mentality as we could hardly mingle freely amongst other members of the society from other tribes, This particular discriminatory traits eventually cascaded to the fall out of the first Civil War In The late 60’s And Up Till Present, We are Still Struggling To Purge Ourselves Of This Ethnocentric Preponderance Which The Nigerian Contraption Has Been Engulfed With, She regrettably surmised.

This introspection goes as far to lay the undisputable premise on the magnanimity of preserving our Cultural Renaissance as it becomes a sacred tool of holding on to our residual identity if truly we want to be remembered as African’s so to say.
