A Commercial Boat Conveying Seventeen Passengers From Sand Fill Heading To Ikorodu In Lagos Capsized As Two Adults, A Male And Female lost Their alives Immediately At The Mentioned Location. Information gathered From The Lagos State Water Ways Authority (LASWA) Officials revealed That The Driver Of The Boat Rammed Into A High Tension pole Which was Concealed by Flooded Water And led to the Accident.
Through A Press Statement assigned By The Parmanent Secretary,Lagos State Emergency Authority (LASEMA) Dr Olafemi Oke-Osanyintolu, The Body Of An Adult Female Was Retrieved From The Water And Subsequently Transported From The Incident Scene To LASWA Head Office At Falomo before being Confirmed Dead by the LRU Paramedics While The Search For The body of the Adult Male is still Ongoing.
LASEMA As An Agency responders alongside LRU Paramedics,Lagos State Fire And Rescue Service,Lagos State Waterways Authority And Nigeria Police Force Were Joint Responders At The Accident Scene.
