Revisiting one’s origins is a nostalgic experience that can be likened to the Timeless Melody Of Lamont Dozier’s 1977 Classic “Going Back To My Roots”. Recently, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefuluire who served as the SSA to the Presidency On Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), had the Opportunity to visit her alma mater, ST JOSEPH SECONDARY SCHOOL,IDI MANGORO, AGEGE IN LAGOS STATE.
The Occasion was the Celebration of the founders day of the School by the Global Alumni Association Members. Upon her Arrival, She was greeted with Cultural Displays And Warm Smiles That Were Fitting For A Princess And Former Deputy Governor Of Lagos State.
During Her Welcome Remarks, Princess Adejoke Paid Tribute And Called for a minute silence to the Founder’s Who have passed away before greeting her Colleagues With Heartfelt Warmth. She also extended greetings to the Founding Principals And Reiterated That it is mandatory for all of us to work hard towards making Nigeria a better place.
Notably, She reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment towards the Objectives of the Renewed Hope Agenda.” The Fact Remains That We All Share This Country As Our Only Home;Thus Collaboration amongst Ourselves Is Essential”.
As this SSA To The President, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefuluire Assured That Alumni Members Will Strive Together Towards Growing Our Beloved Nation. It is evident that her Outstanding Achievements and Role Model Status Did Not Go Unnoticed During Her Visits As She Was Awarded “Outstanding Personality” in Recognition of her accomplishments.
In Summary , revisiting one’s origins can evoke nostalgic feelings While Also Providing An Opportunity For Reflections And Appreciation Of Growth.
Princess Adejoke ‘s Visit Served As A Reminder Of Our Shared Responsibility towards making Nigeria A Better Place Through Collaboration And Hard Work. Her Recognition As An Outstanding Ambassador Of The School Which Further Highlights The Importance Of Leadership And Positive Impact In Society, In Her Remarks After The School’s Compendium was unveiled, Orelope Adefuluire Supported The Publication With A Handsome Donation While Urging Members To Do The Same As A Mark Of Appreciations Of The Efforts Of The Organisers.
In Attendance of the programme were former principals and Teachers Ably led by Mrs Jibowu And Mr Samuel Ogunyemi, Distinguished Personalities Amongst Whom Were Mrs Erogbogbo, The Proprietor Of The School, The Vice-Chairman Of Alimosho Local Government And Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA And Chief Akin Bashiru , Former South West Nigeria Representative On The Board Of National Bureau Of Statistics, While Members Of Alumni Association Of Various Sets Also Graced The Occasion.
