On the evening of October 14,2023 around 8.00 pm a group of armed individuals, suspected to be Bandits, wielding dangerous weapons, Forcefully entered a rented student residence situated on the outskirts of Sabon Garin Damba.
They abducted two students and a Staff of the Federal University at gun-point. In response to this distressing incident, The Zamfara State Police Command Immediately activated it’s Striking Force for a thorough search and rescue operation. We are pleased to report that the efforts of the Command have yeildeda successful and positive outcome as all victims were rescued unharmed.
Three of the abductees were apprehended and investigation is ongoing in the bid to arrest other fleeing members of the kidnap gang. Under the Capable Leadership of Commisioner of Police Mohammed Shehu Dalijan (PSC FSI), The Zamfara State Police Command remains Steadfast in it’s commitment to Safeguard lives and property throughout the State, including the provision of a conducive atmosphere for learning process, ensuring the Safety and Security of Educational Institution.
