….Agbaje returned not as a man clutching old glory, but as a servant refined by trials, recharged with purpose, and reconnected to the heartbeat of the people.
….His renewed zeal for Ayobo-Ipaja mirrors the restorative power of God who listens even in silence and responds in strength.
”Drawing Strength from Scripture and Agbaje’s Triumphant Return to Ayobo Ipaja Grassroots Politics while eying Igbogila House ahead of July 12”.
In seasons of silence, where dreams seem forgotten and purpose feels derailed, it is easy to wonder if heaven has gone mute. Life often throws setbacks, disappointments, and delays that make even the strongest question, ”Does God still listen?” The answer—resounding through Scripture and life itself is yes. God Still listens. He hears the cry of the weary, and the sigh of the overwhelmed, and whisper of the determined soul. His silence is not His absence.
Biblical Assurance That God Listens
The Bible is filled with testimonies of God’s unwavering attentiveness to his people. Psalm 34:17 declares :
” The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them ; he delivers them from all their troubles.”
Even when answers don’t come immediately, God is working behind the scenes. In Daniel 10, Daniel fasted and prayed for 21 days before the angel appeared to him with the assurance:
”Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard…”(Daniel 10:12)
This truth is echoed in 1 John 5:14
”This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, He hears us.’‘
These verses are not just ink on paper–they are divine reminders for every heart that dares to believe again.
Agbaje’s Comeback: A Testimony of Divine Timing
In the context of leadership and public service, setbacks often feel like the end of the road. For Agbaje, a passionate grassroots mobiliser and a rallying voice of the people of Ayobo-Ipaja, his prolonged absence from active political service threatened to dim the fire of his purpose. What began as a necessary break evolved into a near – consumptive silence, a hiatus that tested his resolve ,drained his visibility, and challenged his calling.
But like Joseph in prison (,Genesis 41), like Moses in exile (Exodus 3 ) , Agbaje’s delay was not a denial. It was preparation. .Refocusing, Refinement. And when the time was ripe, the same God who called him reignited the platform for Hus return.
His comeback wasn’t just political, it was prophetic. It echoed the truth of Romans 11:29:
”For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable.”
Agbaje returned not as a man clutching old glory, but as a servant refined by trials, recharged with purpose, and reconnected to the heartbeat of the people. His renewed zeal for Ayobo-Ipaja mirrors the restorative power of God who listens even in silence and responds in strength.
Moral of the Story: Keep Believing, Keep Praying
Whether you’re a leader like Agbaje waiting for your comeback , or an everyday individual praying for open doors, take courage–God still listens. The world may forget, voices may fade, and timelines may stretch, but God is never deaf to the prayers of the faithful.
Let the story of Agbaje’s revival in Ayobo-Ipaja and the promises of Scripture ignite your hope. Like David wrote in Psalm 40:1-2:
”I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cru. He lifted me out of the slimy pit…and gave me a firm place to stand.”
Your wait is not wasted. Your silence is not ignored. And your prayers are not in vain. God still listens and when He moves, your comeback will be greater than your setback.

Stay encouraged.Stay faithful. The God who heard Agbaje still hears you.
