Ayobo-Ipaja, Lagos- As the political temperature begins to rise ahead of the 2025 general elections, a strong call for unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has been made by rising grassroots figure, Olumide Donald, popularly known as Omo-Adugbo.
Speaking during a stakeholders’ meeting on Thursday, Omo-Adugbo emphasized that the AGBAJE-OLO 2025 Political Franchise is not just a campaign machinery, but a ” unifier movement” positioned to bring gaps and consolidate the APC’s hold in the LCDA.
”We must rise above sentiments,There is no room for divisionist propaganda in Ayobo-Ipaja” he stated. ”AGBAJE-OLO 2025 represents unity, progress, and a renewed social contract with the people. This is not about individuals, its about community development and party stability.”
He further appealed to aggrieved party factions to sheath their swords and embrace reconciliation for the greater good of the party and the people.
”We are all members of one big political family. No faction canwin this alone. I appeal to all my respected elders, leaders, and youths who feel.sidelined or unheard to come back to the table. Let us build our strength together,” Omo-Adugbo urged.
The AGBAJE-OLO movement has gained traction in recent months, especially among young voters and grassroots stakeholders in Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, credited for its focus on community engagement, infrastructural advocacy and participatory leadership.
Political observers note that while internal party disagreements are not uncommon during pre-election seasons, the tone of the AGBAJE-OLO campaign has consistently leaned toward inclusivity, accountability, and structured dialogue.
A party chieftain present at the meeting, who requested anonymity, praised Omo-Adugbo’s stance, calling it ”the kind of leadership Ayobo-Ipaja needs at this critical time.”
As preparations for the LG Elections intensify, all eyes remain on the AGBAJE-OLO movement and the political will to position itself, not just as a campaign team, but as the voice of unity and progress in the local political space.
