Misinformation, Defamation & Divine Vindication: The Truth Behind the Mysterious Disappearance of Oluwatobi Samuel

Published By Olumide Donald On Saturday 17 May 2025

In recent weeks, the Celestial Church community, particularly those affiliated with CCC Orisun Itedo New Moon Service Program, have been thrust into a storm of controversy, fear and misinformation. At the heart of this troubling saga lies the mysterious disappearance of a 17- year- old boy, Oluwatobi Samuel — a disapperance that lasted a harrowing 12 days and ended as mysteriously as it began.

What followed was a cascade of false allegations, hasty assumptions, and a dangerous smear campaiign— particularly against me, Shepherd G.O. Olukade, a servant of the Most High God, who has committed his life to spiritual leadership, truth, and divine service for 35 years.

The Incident That Sparked the Storm.

The young lad, Oluwatobi Samuel, was reportedly caught swapping phone over a power bank device at our parish during one of our special serviced. The issue was minor—- something that should have been resolved with counsel and discipline. However, shortly after this incident, he inexplicably vanished.

As news of his disappearance spread, suspicion took root, twisted and nurtured by fear, grief, and perhaps, underlying tensions. The story soon escalated beyond its actual scope, and before long ,I was falsely accused of ritual involvement— a grievous and defamatory charge that has long haunted spiritual leaders within the white garment community.

I was detained unjustly, first at Ayobo Police Station, and later transferred to Panti Yaba, enduring unwarranted scrutiny and emotional turmoil. All the while, I maintained my innocence, fully trusting God’s justice and divine timing.

The Miraculous Return

To the shock and amazement of all, Oluwatobi was found alive and unharmed after 12 days—- his sudden reappearance baffling both authorities and community members. His return was nothing short of miraculous, further proving that the assumptions and accusations hurled at me were not only baseless but spiritually dangerous.

The boy’s recovery, which should have sparked joy and gratitude, was instead used as a footnote in a narrative crafted to shame , defame, and  vilify me without a hired of evidence or concern for truth.

The Role of Misguided Media & Public Defamation

What deeply compounded this trauma was the careless amplification of the false narrative by Mr Victor Olalere, an online podcaster and administrator of the Celestial Reality Check Platform on Facebook. His platform, which claims represents truth and accountability within the CCC, instead became a vessel of libel and slander.

Through an emotionally charged interview with the boy’s mother- who  falsely stated I was involved in rituals— my name and reputation were dragged through the mud without offering me a chance to clarify, speak or defend myself.

The mother, perhaps understandably distressed by her son’s disappearance, chose to direct her pain towards scapegoating rather than truth-seeking. Yet, her words, published and shared online, have consequences—deep, far–reaching ones.

I was never involved, never aware , and was only informed of the matter through a spiritual daughter who worships at the parish. My role in this was tangential at best, yet my name was invoked as a villain.

A Call for Accountability And Apology

I hereby demand a full public apology and a complete retraction of the misleading content posted on the Celestial Reality Check platform. I implore Mr Victor Olalere and the boy’s mother (Idowu Salami of No 8 Orange Avenue.Itele Ogun State) to correct the record and admit the grievous error made in attributing false motives  and crimes to an innocent man of God.

Should this not be done, I leave the matter to the righteous judgement of God Almighty, whose wrath is reserved for those who touch his annoited and do his prophets harm. As we speak the mother  is yet to feel remorse over her actions and bluntly refused to tender an apology in view. The is is contrary to what the Deputy Commissioner of Police  (DCP) at Panti Yaba instructed her to do but yet to comply.

Closing Reflections

The damage caused by rumor and slander cannot be understated. In an era where social media holds as much weight as the pulpit, we must tread carefully, especially when dealing with sacred reputations and spiritual offices. The integrity of God’s work depends not only on truth but also on accountability when the truth is mishandled.

To those who stood by me in spirit, thank you. And those who doubted and accused, I forgive you– but I also urge you to come forward and make peace with the truth. May this be a lesson to the entire  Celestial body :let us seek truth before judgement, and light before condemnation. For if we allow fear and misinformation to lead us, we may end up crucifying the  innocent while the real issues remain unsolved.
