Two Nigerians (Names Witheld) have been arrested in connection with a robbery operation at Al-Mahboula area recently. The Kuwait’s Ministry of interior arrested the two Nigerian Nationals who were implicated in an armed robbery incident at a currency exchange office taking the sum of KD 4,600(USD 16,500)
In a press release on Wednesday, January 22,2025, the Ministry explained that thus was a premeditated crime as the robbery gang had been watching the office from rooftops of nearby building’s and had used metal plates to cover car number plates when the robbery was carried out.
Efforts of detectives located one of the suspects who confessed to having monitored the office and notified his partner in crime, who has since been detained in the Aswaq Al Qurain area.
During a conducted search on his residence, the detectives recovered the stolen sums as well as a bag of Meth a hard drug substance. The Ministry affirmed that the two suspects were referred to the public prosecution department for legal action.
