…LASEMA, NPF AND LASTMA TEAM WORK SAVES THE DAY.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Activated it’s energy response plan to the Scene of the Collapsed pedestrian Bridge at Alapere Bustop ketu at the wee hours of Today Friday ,8th December,2023.
Consequently upon the arrival of the Agency’s Response Team at the Scene, it was discovered that A Trailer With Registration Number ABG – 111 – XF, With A40ft Container Crashed Into The Alapere Pedestrian yon High Motion as a result of the height of the Trailer Which led to the fatal Collapse of the Bridge. The impact of the Collapse crushed a 24 passenger Mazda Commercial Bus, Registration Number KJA-752-YD.
Fortunately, There was no record of lives lost but three male passengers in the commercial bus sustained various degrees of injuries and were quickly transported to hospital nearby for a quick medical attention.
The LASEMA Response Team, LASTMA And NPF Were responders who collaborated together to evacuate the crashed colums of the Pedestrian Bridge and the Debris of the Road. Traffic Users Can Now Heave A Sign of Relief As The Road Has Since Return To Normalcy.
