Sad End of a young man, who was Kidnapped 3weeks ago from his home in Kubwa.
A Zenith Bank Staff, Austin Ilom was abducted at gun point in his house with a 50 Million Naira Ransome demanded before he can be set free. Meanwhile the Suleja Branch of The Bank refused to comply with the payment stating that the staff was not kidnapped on duty.
In a similar development the brother in law to the abductee, A serving senator and federal law maker, Agom Jarigbe when contacted over the unfortunate scenario also declined to do anything unless the Bank share in the burden by bringing out money as part payment for the Ransome, However After Much Persuasions , The Senator parted with a sum. of Three million naira (3M) leaving his friends and colleagues in the office to raise a total of 11.5M ( Eleven Million and Five hundred thousand Naira).
The Kidnappers collected the sum of eleven million naira (11M) and asked for the balance while they held on to the hostage. Days later the abductors of Austin called that they can come for his release. These sounded as a welcomed Relief but unknown to them, they were to pick up a half dead man who looked frail after spending agonizing days of gruelling conditions in the custody of his abductors.
Sensing his failing and deteriorating health. He was immediately rushed to an hospital in Bwari, upon admission he requested for water but before the arrival of water he had passed away sadly. The late Austin Ilom was said to be an easy going person and would be fondly missed by loved ones and colleagues.
He would be remembered for his diligence at work and the resourceful nature that earned him the meritorious award of Best Marketing Staff (Zenith Bank) at the Suleja Branch in Abuja. What a tragic way to cut short a promising man in his prime.
