Russia has signed an agreement with Burkina Faso to build a nuclear power plant to address it’s energy needs.According to the African Development Bank, Only Around 23 percent of Burkina Faso’s population had access to electricity by the end of 2020.This moves comes amid a military regime
This moves comes from a military regime in Burkina Faso aiming to strengthen it’s relations with Russia and diversify it’s bilateral economic relations. Russia through it’s atomic energy agency Rosatom, has described this agreement as the first step in peaceful nuclear co-operstion between the two countries, with potential applications in various sectors including commerce, agriculture and Medicare.
